(Session 23) From Data to Decisions: Harnessing UK Digital Solutions for More Resilient Water Management

(Session 23) From Data to Decisions: Harnessing UK Digital Solutions for More Resilient Water Management

Co-organized with the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT), this launchpad session will feature innovations from UK-based providers that harness data and digital tools for more resilient water management. With climate risks and urban pressures intensifying across Asia and the Pacific, smarter approaches are needed to forecast floods, identify leaks in water distribution networks, and monitor wastewater in real time. These solutions highlight how turning data into decisions can help safeguard communities, protect ecosystems, and build resilience in the region.

1. Fathom: Fathom delivers hazard maps and catastrophe models to help risk professionals manage water risk with precision.

2. HR Wallingford: HR Wallingford developed Sim-On Water, a real-time web application which efficiently identifies and targets leaks in water distribution networks.

3. Detectronic: Detectronic Ltd designs and manufactures advanced flow and level monitoring solutions, delivering reliably accurate data for the effective management of wastewater and stormwater networks.
